The essential oil of nutmeg offers a very marked aromatic smell, sweet, warm, spicy-peppery with a terpene top note. The bottom note after drying the wetness remains warm and soft. It is used in soap making, detergents, lotions, cosmetics and perfumes and gives a particular character in lavender waters.
