Native to Canada or China, wintergreen is a creeping sub-shrub 15 cm high. It grows in humid and cold regions or in forests. The essential oil of wintergreen is derived from the distillation of its aromatic leaves with red stalks, finely serrated and with white to pale pink tones. The essential oil of Wintergreen is very fluid, colorless and gives off a warm and aromatic smell.
